**** WHEN I WAS OLD THEN YOUNG THEN OLD ****

02.21.08 (2:55 pm)   [edit]

was I ever young, to be with friends,who know not anything else but the idea of not having to care, filled with the mysteries that invite their questions;

it will occur yes beyond our control, they tell you "son you better shape up or thats it for you", you can only laugh at such a bad piece of advice, go read your weekly paper;

              Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â                Â OLD****YOUNG

              Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â

as we grow we just can't wait to get older, things we cannot do, we can do now, when we want, how we want, does this lead to what we want, maybe so but easy it is not;

older is not a state of mind , a state of body instead, everything seemingly so much slower, kind of like slow motion video, where you can't find the end zone;

friend of my youth were they really, eye balling the new lassie of the moment hoping to catch her eye, a wave of the hand the go ahead given by her to approach;

feel like you were born as old as you once were and now are again, over the hill that sums it all up, making sure all years count , for once again you are young once more;

**** WAITING FOR SUNRISE WITH MY FRIEND ****

02.21.08 (12:41 am)   [edit]

Laughinghey fellow tbloggers: I hope everyone is having a great day today and will continue to do so. I have been away for a few days now due to the illness of a serious friend of mine. I am not handling the whole situation very well because the prognosis for my friend is terminal and her condition is deteriorating very rapidly.

I have never dealt with the issue of death very well, and in this instance even worse due to how close of friends that we are. We have known each for what seems like centuries and have shared many happy and sad moments together but nothing like this ever before. because of her illnesses and the time she has so limited, we have spent a lot of time remembering the "good old days" and sometimes it is very hard to say or listen to.

I often write poetry when I feel like this but this time because of the circumstances surrounding my friend's illnesses, it has saddened me greatly to know that I am essentially her only true compadre that will not betray her. For quite sometime now she and her family have been estranged from one another, and she is completely devastated because of the way her daughter has treated her for the past few years. I have had to act on her behalf many times when it has come to her dealing with her daughter. for how she has raised her daughter and having given her the business she had created for the past 25 years, only to bankrupt that business she has been treated absolutely disgusting.

It is beyond comprehension that any daughter would treat her mother such as this and especially considering her medical circumstances. It is very heart wrenching to see my friend hurt like this, and to see her in tears for most of each day that she has left. to top it off, she has been denied access to see her grandchildren for the past 6 months and they love their grandmother very much an, as she does also. There is a name for people like her daughter who act such as this, but in deference to my friend I shall spare her the pain of having to read it. I feel almost totally helpless to assist my friend with her relationship to her daughter. Here is a woman who has brought her kids up all by  herself and in a moral and ethical manner and this  is what she receives in return! I would not wish this treatment on my worst enemy would you? all I can do is be there for her and unlike her daughter I will remain with her throughout her ordeal until it is time. Take care all of you and hope to "see" you hopefully not to long in the future.

once again fellow tbloggers  live life to its' fullest and I wish that this comes true for each and every one of you. adios for for now!!

** Sights Unseen That Could Have Been **

02.16.08 (6:35 pm)   [edit]

when eagles fly, when eagles cry, habitats die, makes you sigh, eagles say goodbye****

surrender to love, surrender to God above, tell me what you're thinking of, pieces fitting like a glove****

of people knowing when, those tears back again, to you're heart I send, this cupid shall not bend****

dreams of colors wild, faces that bring a smile, would I walk that mile, for you down that aisle****

hair so flowing, children ever growing, all the while knowing, aqua eyes so very glowing****

suns shall rise, and to my surprise, look on from high, draw  a breath sound of a sigh****

hope you have seen, my field of dreams, what could have been, covered over by green, emeralds that shine sight unseen.              Â  TIMM17 COPYRIGHT-2008 WINDSONG PRESS

****What's In A Name Mr. Clemens?

02.15.08 (11:57 am)   [edit]
Well gang,once again it is that time. Time again for major league baseball spring training camps to open for the 2008 season. As the players get ready for another long and promising season, a black cloud continues to hover over professional base- ball. Of course I am making reference to all of the accusations being aimed at a host of major league stars such, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens,Mark McGuire and too many to mention here! Although one is suppose-edly innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law, players' names and their careers and families are forever being "dragged" through the mud before they even enter a court of justice. Regardless of what one may think these people's lives will be permanently tarnished and even if the "accused" are clear of all wrong doing,their lives will never be the same again. With Roger Clemens test- ifying before Congress this whole "picture" is becoming hazier by the moment. It is like a long drawn out movie with the plot going nowhere, and leaving people scratching their heads and thinking "what the hell were they thinking".Well, chances are that the public at large will never really know the whole story, but do we really care enough to really want to know? Just where all of this is leading I'm not quite sure, but the only ones walking away with any semblance of a smile will be as usual the attorneys who win no matter who loses.Have a great day and let's all wish for a better day, adios for now! ****WHERE CREDIT IS DUE****

02.14.08 (8:35 pm)   [edit]
This evening as I sat at the computer, staring in a "trans" like state this thought passed through my mind. Over the past four(4) months I have grown to be somewhat protective of the people who I have maintained regular contact with and for me that is quite a foreign feeling. If the truth be known, I am for the most part a very shy person, who does not as a rule talk so freely and at random with other people in general.I have been in somewhat of a self imposed exile from the mainstream of society due to this timidness with other people. However, since my appearance on tblog.com, I have found that it has been much easier to communicate with people. I could as usual be the pompous ass and take credit for my improve- ment, but in a radical change of behavior I must apply the credit where it is due.That being said, I congrat- ulate my fellow bloggers for assisting me in overcoming the shyness that has burdened me for a lengthy period of time. Through their general acceptance of me as a fellow tblogger, it has enabled me to be free of the misconception of other peoples motives. This has allowed me to exercise my abilities in a written fashion to be more expressive and honest in my appraisals of issues I would normally stay clear of. The bottom line is this: I feel I am indebted to my fellow bloggers for their allowing me the openness and truthful- ness to just me be. This I have discovered is not all that bad. Thank you again for the help gang! Take care and adios for now! Timm/mest2007

**Let's Wake Them Up**

02.13.08 (12:40 pm)   [edit]
Not so long ago I was sort of daydreaming about issues such as global warming and the extinction of wildlife on this planet and I posed the question to myself "why does man continue to ignore the peril the earth faces?".Well here are some of my thoughts on this topic: (1)- Greed- Man knows no limitations to its' thirst for money. (2)-Honesty- What a joke! If not for those scientists not bought off by the government we would probably have known about this catastrophic disaster called "global warming". (3)-Humility-It would be rather pathetic if man continued on its' present course and not be able to say "oops" I made a mistake. (4)-Understanding-Is this really possible considering the corruption and greed that exists within the major governments. Since when did the needs and wants of the few take precedent over the needs and wants of the many. A new form of government is sorely needed that only operates for all equally and not just for the few such as Mr.Bushes 1 and 2, major corporations such as Dupont,Microsoft,IBM, etc. I'm sure you get the picture now, so now all we have to do is get the rest of these neanderthals of government leaders to wake up. Good luck to all! timm/mest2007

** Being on T.blog.Com Feels Great!**

02.12.08 (5:49 pm)   [edit]
Since appearing on "tblog.com" in november of 2007, i have had a most enjoyable relationship with most of the other bloggers on this site.I have found that most emails that I receive are very friendly and at times quite supportive as well as the comments in a similar re- spect. Being fairly new to the computer as well as the internet I have come to learn that communication on the "net" is quite different than the usual jibberish(English)you find in person to person conversations. in the average day communication with most people has been a drawn out affair of meaningless words with no pronounced sincerity whatsoever. on the "net" I find that people are more to the point about what they say! Although it may be said by some individuals that contact via the "net" is shallow and somewhat artificial between people it is usually those individuals who are by nature "anti-social", who do most of the "whining".When I reflect back on some of the conversations with people on "tblog.com" I find that getting to the point of what ever they are attempting to say is far more rapid and acceptable than listening to the rantings and ravings of someone who doesn't have a "clue" as to what point they are trying to convey. As opposed to other sites that I have looked into compared to "tblog.com there is no comparison whatsoever. people on this website seem to be far more clued in to what they are saying then those other so called "sites". My hat is off to the participants on tblog.com. Keep up the great blogging people. take care and adios for now! Timm/Mest2007

All Music, for all Time! Oh Yeah!

02.10.08 (12:21 am)   [edit]
In a recent discussion with someone quite "youthful" the subject of drawing comparisons about the music today as opposed to let's say 30 or so years ago was briefly debated. The youth in mention wanted to know would the music of today be considered as classic 10 years from now! Since this question kind of caught me "off-guard", I at first really did not know how to respond to this question but after some quick thought said this too them. Through any and all generations, music for that particular period of time is unique unto itself. To answer this question specifically is quite the impossible task, however music in my opinion has no limitations. Each decade has had its' great bands and soloists so let's review the decades very briefly. (1960's)-The Rolling Stones,The Beatles,The Beach Boys,Donovan,Petula Clark,Jimi Hendrix,The Doors,Led Zepplin. (1970's)-Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, The Allman Brothers,The Eagles,Fleetwood Mac,James Taylor,Joni Mitchell,Jim Croce,Cat Stevens,The Band. (1980's)-Judas Priest, Metallica,Hall and Oates, Whitney Houston,Mariah Carey,Madonna,Boy George and Culture Club,Cyndi Lauper. (1990's)-The Police,U-2 and Bono,Oasis,Hootie and the Blowfish. (2000+)-Green Day,The Fighting Foos,Usher,Snoop Dog,Eminmem,Fallout Boy. The lists can run endlessly in every genre of time and format of music, so who is to say their generation is more "classic" than the previous ones.Feel free to add to this "brief" list and let me know where your tastes lie. Adios for now gang! Timm/Mest2007

RANTS & RAVES!

02.09.08 (11:36 am)   [edit]
Once upon a time things were so simple for me to understand that I would never have questioned my own motivations. These days however this does not happen so easily and I often wonder why this is so ! The majority of my "belief systems" are not as sturdy as they once were, so every now and then I find myself second guessing any decision that I may have made.For a person teeming with such slf-confidence it has been to me quite the earth "shattering" experience to say the least. At my current age one would think that I should be more of an adviser than the one seeking the advice.Well hopefully this feeling will evaporate soon like a melting snowfall. Thank you all for listening to an old mans' rant. take care and adios for now! Timm/Mest2007

SCIENTOLOGY ( TRULY A JOKE!)

02.08.08 (1:18 pm)   [edit]
TODAY AS I WAS VIEWING THE DAILY "TBLURTS" I CAME ACROSS SOME PERSON WHO WAS ADVOCATING TO SOMEONE TO "LOOK" INTO L.RON HUBBARD AND HIS SO CALLED PHILOSOPHICAL MATERIAL ABOUT THE "RELIGION" SCIENTOLOGY. JUST THE VERY THOUGHT THAT THIS AND I USE THE TERM "FOLLOWER" LOOSELY AND VERY VAGUELY, ADVOCATES ANYTHING AS POSITIVE ABOUT THIS CULT SCIENTOLOGY IS UTTER CRAP.NOW I DO RESPECT EACH INDIVIDUALS' RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH ANDTHE FREEDOM TO EXPRESS THEIR IDEAS BUT WHEN IT IS COMMON KNOWLEDGE THAT THIS ORGANIZATION HAS DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO BENFIT MANKIND THEN I MUST DRAW THE "LINE" BETWEEN TRUTH AND THEIR B.S. THAT THEY EXPOUND SO INTENSELY. HAVING PREVIOUSLY WORKED FOR THIS "CULT" YEARS BACK IN IT'S INFANCY I RECOGNIZED EVEN BACK THEN THE DAMAGE THIS ORGANIZATION COULD DO TO THE NOT SO AWARE AND NAIVE.THEIR SO CALLED "COME ON" TO THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL IS THE OFFERING OF A "FREE" PERSONALITY TEST THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE INDICATIVE OF HOW MUCH YOU MAY REQUIRE THEIR "HELP" TO RISE ABOVE THE SECULAR LIFE. HAVING HAD THIS ABSURD TEST PERFORMED ON ME RESULTED IN THESE FOOLS HIRING ME TO CONDUCT SUCH TESTS WHICH DID NOT AND STILL DOES NOT HAVE A SCIENTIFIC BASIS WHATSOEVER. I WAS SIMPLY TOLD THAT THE REAL BASIS FOR THIS "TEST" WAS TO CONVINCE PEOPLE THAT THEY NEEDED TO ATTAIN CERTAIN LEVELS WITHIN THE SCIENTOLOGY COMMUNITY THAT WOULD LITERALLY COST THE APPLICANT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO WHAT THEY CALL "GOING CLEAR". THIS LEVEL OF BEING "CLEAR" ONCE BEING ATTAINED, WOULD OFFER THE INDIVIDUAL OF FEELING LIKE A ONENESS WITH THE UNIVERSAL ORDER OF COURSE DICTATED BY OFFICIALS FROM THE SCIENTOLOGY "ARENA". HAVING BEEN CLOSE UP AND PERSONAL WITH THIS ORGANIZATION I CAN HONESTLY STATE THAT THIS ORGANIZATION IS LITTLE MORE THAN A "CULT" WITH SOPHISTICATED METHODS OF EXTRACTING MONIES FROM PEOPLE WHO WOULD BE FAR BETTER OFF TO HAVE THROWN THEIR MONEY OUT THE WINDOW FOR ALL THE HELP IT WOULD HAVE DONE THEM. AS FOR IT HAVING "RELIGIOUS" STATUS, WELL THEIR FIGHT WITH THE U.S. GOVERNMENT OVER THE PAST THREE(3) DECADES FOR EXCLUSION FROM TAXATION BASED ON BEING A "MAINSTREAM" RELIGION SIMPLY INDICATES THAT THE TELLING OF UNTRUTHS AND CONSISTENTLY BEING DECEITFUL ABOUT THEIR OPERATIONS AND MOTIVATIONS, IS TRULY A MAJOR TELLING FACTOR OF JUST HOW THESE "CON MEN" OPERATE. TO BE HONEST ABOUT IT, EVEN YOUR EVERYDAY CON MAN OR SCAM ARTIST HAS MORE SCRUPLES AND ARE MORE "ETHICAL" THEN THESE PARASITES.IN CONCLUSION, ALWAYS BE AWARE OF SUCH "PARTIES" OFFERING SOMETHING THAT IS AND NEVER WILL BE THERE JUST FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND.
